Gary Foutch holds the Kerr-McGee Chair in Chemical Engineering. He has been a NASA Summer Faculty Fellow at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory; a visiting scientist for Dow Chemical Company; Smith, Kline, & French; and Phillips Petroleum Company; an ASEE Summer Faculty Fellow for the Naval Surface Warfare Center; and a Fulbright Scholar at Loughborough University in England. He was elected by the faculty to serve as Chairman of the OSU Faculty Council. His research is in areas of mass-transfer limited separations with a focus on ultrapure water processes used in power generation and microelectronics manufacturing. He serves on the organizing committees for the Society of Chemical Industry’s Ion Exchange Conferences in Cambridge, England. He has also been on engineering accreditation teams at 16 universities across the US.
